The Voice of South Asian Art and Literature (VSAAL) is a new collective of artists, writers and community activists focussed on bringing South Asian communities together. VSAAL aims to organise an annual festival (Mela), which will showcase a variety of talents including theatre, dance, literary discussions as well as live music. The first event under the VSAAL banner is set to take place on 14 September 2024.
This year, the prestigious Bloomsbury Theatre will be the venue for our Mela on September 14, 2024. The event promises a captivating day filled with insightful talks, inspiring poetry readings, and soulful music – a true celebration of the rich artistic heritage of South Asia.
Voice of South Asian Art and Literature London aspires to serve the over 3 million strong South Asian British population.We celebrate the languages, literature, culture, and art forms of the subcontinent, with a mission to connect with the entire British South Asian diaspora, encompassing Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Sinhalese, and more. Our events provide a platform for entertainment, education, and a celebration of our rich, shared heritage.
